The other day, my dear friend Christine and I grabbed the kids and drove up to Lake Lanier, GA. We had no idea what we were in store for. It was 90 degrees, we had 3 children under 5 in the car and no towels, bathing suits or snacks. All we did have were a change of clothes. We were winging it for sure. We happened upon a little beach and the kids begged to be set free. Although we spend very few huddled days inside during the Georgia winters, this winter provided us a lot more than we were used to. Needless to say, they were excited to see sand and sun. We decided to throw caution to the wind and give them their ‘ocean’.
